Rahul Roy is an Indian actor, film producer and former model known for his work in Bollywood and television. Roy started his acting career with the hit film Aashiqui in 1990, produced by Mahesh Bhatt as new lead actor and newcomer Anu Agarwal. He then appeared opposite Karishma Kapoor in Sudhakar Bokade's romantic drama Sapne Sajan Ke. Roy was honored as a life member of the International Film and Television Club of the Asian Academy of Film and Television. Roy had a notable performance in the 1993 autobiography of Mahesh Bhatt Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, whose character is based on the filmmaker. The film is Zee TV's first mainstream production. Roy then starred in Bhatt's movie Jaanam, who was the first director of Vikram Bhatt. In 2006, Roy joined and won the first season of the game show Bigg Boss - the Indian version of Celebrity Big Brother, produced by Endemol India for Colors Viacom 18. Roy ventured into the film production.
