Raymond Loewy is a Franco-American industrial designer who is renowned for his design efforts in a variety of fields. He was recognized for this by Time magazine and appeared on the cover of that magazine on October 31, 1949. He spent most of his professional career in the United States, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1938. His designs include the old Shell, Exxon, TWA and BP logos, Greyhound Scenicruiser bus, vending machine. Coca-Cola and redesigned bottles, Lucky Strike Pack, Coldspot refrigerator, Studebaker Avanti and Champion and Air Force One livery. He was hired by OEM International Harvester to review his entire product line, and his team also supported competitor Allis-Chalmers.
