Walter Jerry Payton is an American professional footballer who has run again for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League for 13 seasons. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. Nine times to draft the Pro Bowl draft, Payton is known as a prolific racecar driver, having held records for shots, touches, carry, scrum yards, versatile and many other categories. He's also very flexible and retired with the most reception by someone who didn't catch the ball, and has had eight touch passes in his career. NFL player and coach Mike Ditka described Payton as the greatest footballer he's ever seen, but even even greater as a human being.
