Alan Rubin, também conhecido como Mr. Fabulous, é um músico americano. Ele toca trompete, clarim e flautim. Rubin começou a frequentar a Juilliard School of Music em Nova York aos 17 anos e estudou com William Vacchiano, que era o trompete principal da Filarmônica de Nova York. Vacchiano descreveu Rubin como seu melhor aluno. Na Juilliard, Rubin foi convidado para se apresentar com Paul Hindemith em sua última turnê pelos Estados Unidos, mas Rubin escolheu se apresentar com Peggy Lee no Village Vanguard. Rubin deixou a Juilliard aos 20 anos para fazer uma turnê com o cantor Robert Goulet como o trompetista principal. Rubin foi membro da Saturday Night Live Band, com quem se apresentou na cerimônia de encerramento das Olimpíadas de 1996.
