Brian David Griese is a former American football midfielder and is currently a black commentator for Monday Night Football on ESPN. He was sketched by the Broncos in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played football at Christopher Columbus High School and later college football in Michigan. Griese played three seasons in Michigan, leading Wolverines to the 1997 National Championship. After being selected to the third round by the Denver Broncos in the 1998 NFL Draft, he won a Super Bowl ring with the Broncos during his rookie season, as John Elway led the Broncos to a Super Bowl XXXIII victory over Atlanta. Falcons. Elway retired after the Super Bowl and Griese became Broncos' starting midfielder in the 1999 season. Griese was selected for the Pro Bowl with the Broncos in 2000. After leaving the Broncos, he started as a full-back. back for the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the son of midfielder Bob Griese in the Hall of Fame.
