Howard Pierce" Cub "Buck is an American football player and college coach. He has played as a hitter. The University of Wisconsin captained the team and won a consensus United States title in 1915. Buck then played professionally for 10 seasons in the National Football League with the Canton Bulldogs and Green Bay Packers. Buck coached in soccer leader at Carleton College from 1917-1919, Lawrence College in 1923, and was the first head coach at the University of Miami from 1926-1928. He was inducted into the Wisconsin State Sports Hall of Fame in 1956, the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1977, and the University of Wisconsin Sports Faculty Hall of Fame in 1991.
