Lynn Curtis Swann is a former American football player, announcer, politician, and athletic director, best known for his affiliations with the University of Southern California and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was the Presidential Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition from 2002 to 2005. In 2006, he was the Republican candidate for governor of Pennsylvania. Swann was born in Alcoa, Tennessee. He attended the USC and played football as a widely accepted receiver for the USC Trojan, where he is an American consensus. It is considered one of the most popular receivers and one of the greatest in its generation. He was initiated by the Steelers in the first round of the NFL Draft in 1974. With the Steelers, Swann won four Super Bowl tournaments, was selected for three Pro Bowl tournaments and named Super Bowl X MVP. Swann was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993
