Joseph Maurice Régis Vachon is a Canadian professional wrestler, better known by the stage name Mad Dog Vachon. He is the brother of wrestlers Paul and Vivian Vachon, and the uncle of wrestler Luna Vachon. Vachon began his career as an amateur wrestler, competing in the 1948 Summer Olympics and winning a gold medal at the 1950s British Imperial Games. He switched to professional wrestling and spends time on various promotions to the United States while occasionally collaborating with his brother Paul. In Portland, Oregon, he was given the name "Crazy Dog" Vachon. In the early 1960s, Vachon became one of the main organizers of the American Wrestling Association. He's one of the show's tallest artists, known for his wild style and intense interviews. He has won the AWA heavyweight world 5 times. Starting in the 1970s, Vachon became a fan favorite, especially in his hometown province of Quebec.
