Moses Eugene Malone is an American basketball player who played in both the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association from 1974 to 1995. A center, he was named Player of the Year. Three times, twelve times the NBA All-Star Championship, and eight-time selection of the NBA All-Star Team. Malone led the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Championship in 1983, winning the MVP title in both tournament and finals. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame during his first qualifying year in 2001. Malone started his professional career in high school after being selected to the third round of ABA. Draft year 1974 by Utah Stars. He was named ABA All-Star as a rookie and played two seasons in this tournament until merging with the NBA in 1976. He docked in the NBA with Buffalo Braves, who swapped him After two matches against the Houston Rockets. Malone became an All-Star five times in six seasons with the Rockets.
