Edwards's music was recognized as having had a major influence on the British garage genre in the mid-1990s. He is known for his in-depth sampling and mixing techniques that involve cutting vocal samples into microscopic parts. Used in both his solo albums and his remixes for other artists, this complex vocal sampling technique in some cases makes the original track almost imperceptible. With the remixes numbered in the hundreds, some of the artists Edwards remixed include Wildchild, St. Germain, Benjamin Diamond, Justice, Klaxons and Dimitri from Paris. Edwards co-produced and sang the Daft Punk song "Face to Face" from the Discovery album.
