Francis E. Butler is an Irish-American shooter who has appeared on variety shows in the Wild West. He developed a shooting action with his co-star John Graham, and when Graham fell ill, sharp hunter Annie Oakley stood by his side to help him. Butler and Oakley started performing together and later got married, and they joined the Circus Sells Brothers. They were best known as a duo of marksmanship during their time on Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show from 1885 to 1901. Butler also served as a representative and salesperson for gun manufacturers.
