He is best known for his role as Haywood Patterson in Kander and Ebb's 2010 musical The Scottsboro Boys, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. He starred Aaron Burr on Hamilton's first US tour, before he played the role in the Chicago film that began performing in late September 2016. After Hamilton, Henry played the lead role of Billy Bigelow in Carousel cover on Broadway.
