Masoud Soltanifar
Masoud Soltanifar is an Iranian politician, historian and currently Minister of Youth and Sports since November 1, 2016. He was previously vice-president of Iran and head of the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Crafts and tourism. He is a former member of the Tehran City Council and the Governor of Gilan Province. Previously, he was deputy head of the Organization for Physical Education and was Hassan Rouhani's candidate for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, an appointment rejected by Parliament. In October 2016, he was again nominated for the post and approved by the new parliament. He is a member of the National Trust Party, as well as the Moderation and Development Party.
