Yevgeny Valentinovich Kaspersky is a Russian cybersecurity specialist and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, an IT security company with 4,000 employees. He co-founded Kaspersky Lab in 1997 and helped identify government-sponsored cyberwarfare cases as a research officer. He is a supporter of the international treaty banning cyber warfare. Kaspersky graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at KGB University in 1987 with a degree in mathematics and computer engineering. He became interested in computer security when his work computer was infected with the Cascade virus in 1989 and developed a program to remove it. Kaspersky has contributed to the development of Kaspersky Lab through security research and business skills. He became CEO in 2007 and rest from 2020 .
