Vince Martell ist vor allem als Leadgitarrist von Vanilla Fudge bekannt. Martell wurde in der Bronx als Sohn von Gitarristen geboren und ermutigte ihn, auch zu spielen. Als Teenager trat Martell der Navy bei, wo er sein Talent als Gitarrist entdeckte. 1963 zogen Martell und seine Familie nach Florida und traten bald einer Band namens Ricky T & The Satans Three bei, die in Miami Blues Clubs und Shrimp Shops in Key West auftraten. 1966 gründete er die Gruppe The Pigeons mit dem Organisten Mark Stein, dem Bassisten Tim Bogert und dem Schlagzeuger Joe Brennan. Nachdem Brennan durch Carmine Appice ersetzt wurde und ein Plattenvertrag die Band zwang, ihren Namen zu ändern, wurde die Band zu Vanilla Fudge. Nachdem Vanilla Fudge 1970 aufgelöst wurde, trat Martell weiterhin auf, bis Vanilla Fudge 1984 mit einem anderen Album namens Mystery wiedervereinigt wurde. Im Jahr 2000 veröffentlichte er seine erste Solo-CD, Endless High, gefolgt von der gleichnamigen CD Vince Martell im Jahr 2001
