Ryk Neethling OIS is a South African businessman known as a three-time and four-time Olympic swimming champion. He is known as one of the most successful swimmers in history. He is CEO of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation in South Africa, Ambassador Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, founder of the Ryk Neethling Swimming School and director and shareholder of the Val de Vie Estate. He is also an important speaker and international motivator. He won the Olympic gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won three individual gold medals at the 2006 FINA Underwater World Championship in Shanghai. Winning nine National University Athletics Association titles made him the third best male swimmer in nearly 100 years. He is the former owner of the world record in the 4 × 100 m free relay and broke the individual world record in the 100 m in 2005
