Stephen Douglas Sabol is an American filmmaker. He is the chairman and one of the founders of NFL Films, along with his father Ed. He is also a widely exhibited visual artist. Sabol was born in Moorestown, New Jersey and attended the University of Colorado, where he played soccer on the run and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Brothers. He was the subject of a humorous article about his self-promoting victory in Sports Illustrated on November 22, 1965. He started working at NFL Films as a cameraman with his father. I'm Ed Sabol after graduating. He became involved in the filming industry when his father won the 1962 NFL Championship, playing at Yankee Stadium on December 30 and the 1970s. When ESPN was founded in 1979, they quickly signed NFL Films as a production company and Sabol became a celebrity in the 1980s
