Steven Ma Chun-Wai is a Hong Kong actor and singer. In 1993, Ma won a recording contract after winning first place in an annual singing competition in Hong Kong, then releasing her debut album Lucky for Meet You, in December of that year. Shortly after her singing debut, Ma joined TVB and began acting in television series, then gained fame through a supporting role in the 1995 legal film File of Justice IV. Many of Ma's television productions have received critical acclaim and huge success in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Southeast Asia, he has appeared in a number of popular dramas including Healing Hands, Return of the Cuckoo, Where the Legend Begins, Steps, A Watchdog's Tale, Ghost Writer, The Life and Times of a Sentinel, Storm in a Cocoon and Deep in the Realm of Conscience. Ma currently holds the record for many "Favorite Character" awards with a total of four awards. Ma is known for his roles as historical figures in many television series.
