Mike Scully
Michael Scully is an American television producer and writer. He is known for his production manager and host of the animated sitcom The Simpsons from 1997 to 2001. Scully grew up in West Springfield, Massachusetts and has a long history of writing. He was an unsuccessful student in school and dropped out of college, going on to do a variety of work. Finally, in 1986, he moved to Los Angeles, where he made independent comics and wrote for Yakov Smirnoff. Scully continued to write for several television sitcoms until 1993, when he was hired to write for The Simpsons. There, he wrote 12 episodes, including “Lisa on Ice” and “Team Homer”, and was also the host for seasons 9 through 12. Scully won three Primetime Emmy Awards for her work. itself in the series, with numerous publications praising its episodes, but others criticizing its tenure as a period of show quality decline.
