Reza Shah
Reza Shah Pahlavi was military colonel, war minister, prime minister, founder of the Pahlavi and Shah dynasties of Iran from December 15, 1925 until he was forced to abdicate by the British invasion. The Soviet Union entered Iran on September 16, 1941. Reza Shah introduced many social, economic and political reforms during his rule, eventually laying the foundations for the modern state of Iran. Therefore, he is considered the founder of modern Iran. At the age of 16, he joined the Cossack Brigade and also served in the army. In 1911 he was promoted to lieutenant, in 1912 he was promoted to captain and in 1915 he became a colonel. In February 1921, as head of the entire Cossack brigade stationed at Qazvin, he marched towards Tehran and captured the capital. He forced the dissolution of the government and appointed Zia al-Din Tabatabaie as the new prime minister. Reza Khan's first role in the new government was the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Minister of War.
