Reginald Joseph Mitchell CBE, FRAeS, was een Britse vliegtuigontwerper die van 1920 tot 1936 voor het Southampton-luchtvaartbedrijf Supermarine werkte. Hij wordt het best herinnerd voor het ontwerpen van race-watervliegtuigen zoals de Supermarine S.6B en de Supermarine Spitfire.
