Benjamin Davis Wilson is an American politician. Wilson, originally from Tennessee, worked as a trapper and fur trader before coming to California. Being held captive in Southern California while trying to travel to China, Wilson decided to stay there. He married Ramona Yorba, the daughter of Bernardo Yorba, a wealthy and famous landowner, and bought a portion of Rancho Jurupa in what would become Riverside County. Wilson was appointed as the pacifist of the inland territories and was charged with taking care of Native American affairs. He is also tasked with dealing with the hostile Ute tribe for prying cattle and other crimes against herders.
