Brian Patrick Dawkins Sr. is a former American football player who has played 16 seasons in the National Football League, mainly with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at Clemson and was included in the Eagles team in the second round of the NFL Draft in 1996, during which he was a member for 13 seasons. In the last three seasons, he played for the Denver Broncos. Dawkins has been nicknamed "Weapon X" after the codename of Marvel Comics character Wolverine because of his reputation for relentless on-pitch attacks. Considered one of the greatest safety of all time, Dawkins is considered the leader of the Eagle defense, named the 9 Pro Bowls and the first 5 All-Pro team of his career. He also appeared in the Super Bowl with Eagles at XXXIX, playing in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.
