Carl Ransom Rogers is an American psychologist and one of the founders of the humanistic approach to psychology. Rogers is considered by many to be one of the founders of psychotherapy research and is honored for his pioneering work with the American Psychological Association's Outstanding Scientific Contribution Award in 1956.
