Dan Cameron is an American contemporary art curator. He has been Senior Curator for Next Wave Visual Art at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, an annual exhibition of emerging artists in Brooklyn since 2002. He is also a graduate faculty member. Is from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he teaches the MFA seminar each spring for sophomores. Cameron is a member of the Advisory Board of the Hermitage Artist Retreat in Florida and of the Board of Directors of the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado.

He graduated from Bennington College in 1979 with a B.A.
He has organized exhibitions all over the world, including Greece, Spain and the United Kingdom. He is also a successful writer and art critic.
His family resided in Utica, New York when he was born.
He has curated a number of works by notable artists, including Peter Max.
