Gregory Jerome Coleman is a retired American footballer who had a 12-year National Football Federation career playing for the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Washington Redskins. He attended Florida A&M University. Coleman is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternal Coleman who is currently the Minnesota Vikings reporter for KFAN. He is a cousin of former Major League midfielder Vince Coleman. Early in his career, he was nicknamed "Coffin Corner" due to his ability to shoot the ball near the corner, where the cross between the backyard and the side line. Due to his unusual speed defense, he often lined up in anticipation of a fake shot as he was a threat to run down first. He is known to be one of the first African-Americans to bet on the NFL. He was chosen by fans to be part of the Viking 40th Anniversary Team.
