Sir Harold Walter Kroto, known as Harry Kroto, is an English chemist. He shares the 1996 chemistry prize with Robert Curl and Richard Smalley for discovering the fulleren. Kroto held several positions in the academy throughout his life, ending his career as Francis Eppes professor of chemistry at Florida State University, to which he joined in 2004.
