Jada Koren Pinkett Smith is an American actress, singer-songwriter, screenwriter and businesswoman. She began her acting career in 1990, with a guest appearance on the short-lived sitcom True Colors, and subsequently starred in the television series A Different World. She made her feature film debut in Menace II Society. Her breakthrough came opposite Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor, and she has since starred in more than 20 feature films, including Set It Off, Scream 2, Ali, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Collateral, the Madagascar films, Magic Mike XXL, Bad Moms, Girls Trip, and Angel Has Fallen. On television, she has starred in Hawthorne and Gotham. Pinkett Smith launched her music career in 2002, when she helped create the heavy metal band Wicked Wisdom, for which she was a singer and songwriter. Along with her husband Will Smith, she has a production company, and has had producing credits in films, documentaries, and television series.

About Jada Pinkett Smith
Actress who appeared on the TV series A Different World before starring in blockbuster films such as The Nutty Professor and The Matrix. As a voice actor, she starred in the Madagascar film franchise. She also plays the villain Fish Mooney in the FOX drama series Gotham and she was cast in the 2015 film Magic Mike XXL.
In 1989, she graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts, majoring in Theater and Dance. Tupac Shakur attended the school with her.
In 2004, she starred in Collateral with Tom Cruise, who later recruited her into the Church of Scientology. She also became a Red Table Talk presenter with her daughter.
She married Will Smith in December of 1997, and the couple had two children together: Jaden and Willow.
Her son, Jaden Smith, burst onto the scene in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness alongside Will Smith.
