John Jakob Raskob, KCSG is the chief financial officer and entrepreneur for DuPont and General Motors, and the builder of the Empire State Building. He chaired the Democratic National Committee from 1928 to 1932 and was a major supporter of Alfred E. Smith's candidacy for President of the United States. After Franklin D. Roosevelt became president, Raskob became a leading opponent of the New Deal by supporting several anti-Roosevelt organizations such as the American Liberty League. Raskob is also a leader of the Association Against the Forbidden Amendment and Treasurer of the Knights of Malta.
