In her early versions she was called Lesti DA or Lesti Kejora. Although she sings in many different genres, she sings mainly Dangdut music, an Indonesian folk genre which has its origins and partly incorporates Hindu, Arabic, Malay and local folk music. Lesti has been involved in spreading Dangdut in music fandoms in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam. She signed a contract with Trinity Optima Production.
