A member of the opposition National People's Party, Hanna is currently a Member of Parliament of Saint Ann South East and Minister of Youth and Culture of Jamaica from 2012 to 2016. Hanna is a candidate for consular office. Leaders of the National People's Party of 2020, after the Failure of PNP in the Jamaican General Election in 2020 and the resignation of President and Opposition Leader Peter Phillips Hanna was defeated by Mark Golding.
