Naser Khader
Naser Khader is a Syrian Danish politician who is a member of the Danish Parliament for the Conservative People's Party. He was first elected to the Parliamentary representative of the Danish Social Freedom Party in 2001. In 2007, he left the party to form the New Coalition, which he represented from 2007 to January 5, 2009. As a major supporter of peaceful coexistence between democracy and Islam, he spawned a new movement, `` Peaceful Muslims, '' as the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoon controversy began. In the national election of November 13, 2007, Naser Khader's New Coalition party won five parliamentary seats. After a turbulent year in which two MPs left the party, one was expelled from a caucus and the party was renamed the Liberal Union, Naser Khader also left the party. After a brief stint as an independent member of the National Assembly of Denmark, Naser Khader joined the conservative People's Party on March 17, 2009
