Mary Lillian Ellison is an American professional wrestler, better known by her stage name The Fabulous Moolah. She began her career working with promoter Billy Wolfe and his wife, wrestler and trainer Mildred Burke, as well as working alongside professional "Nature Boy" wrestler Buddy Rogers. She won the NWA Women's World Championship in 1956 and was the title holder for 28 years. She is typically an eight-time female world champion and holds the record for the longest female world champion among all her decisions to date. In the 1980s, she joined the World Wrestling Federation as part of the history of Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection, rivaling Cyndi Lauper and Wendi Richter, who later beat her to win the WWF Championship. . Women's Championship at The Brawl to End All main event in 1984. Moolah retook the Women's Championship two more times before going into semi-retirement at the end of the decade.
