Tom Braidwood is a Canadian actor and director best known for playing Melvin Frohike, one of the conspiracy theorists known as The Lone Gunmen in the American TV series The X-Files. Braidwood has also worked as an assistant director of the series for the one-to-five seasons; is the second unit director on Millennium, another series by Chris Carter, author of The X-Files; and the second season producer of Canadian TV series Da Vinci's Inquest, on which he has also directed several episodes. In addition to The X-Files, Braidwood also appeared as Frohike in the sub-series The Lone Gunmen, which aired 13 episodes in 2001. In 2006, Braidwood appeared in two episodes of the Whistler series, and in 2009 appeared in the films Messages Del deleted and Alien Trespass.
