Chris Gailus is a Canadian television announcer who works for Global BC. Gailus graduated from the Audiovisual Journalism Program at Mount Royal University in Calgary in 1989, where he was named on the Dean's List and played basketball. He started his career in Lethbridge, Alberta, and stayed there for three years. He joined CFCN-TV from Calgary in 1992, then transferred to CICT-TV in 1997. After marrying fellow countryman Jane Carrigan, Gailus took on the position of Morning News on WFAA-TV in Dallas. 2000. He joined WNYW from New York in 2000. April 2003, and began working as a speaker on New York morning's Good Day program. Gailus returned to Canada and joined CHAN-TV in Vancouver on May 1, 2006 as a weekend host.
