Dario Argento is an Italian director, producer, screenwriter and critic. His influential work in the horror genre during the 1970s and 1980s, especially in the sub-generation known as giallo, has earned him the nickname "Master of the Thrill" and "Master. of the Horror ". His directed films include "Animal Trio", which consists of a bird with crystal feathers, a cat with nine tails and four flies on a gray velvet; the "Three Mothers" trio, including Suspiria, Inferno and The Mother of Tears; and the indie films Deep Red, Tenebrae, Phenomena and Opera. He co-wrote the script for Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone and played the role of George A. Romero's screenplay advisor in Dawn of the Dead, in which he also composed the soundtrack with his longtime collaborators Goblin.
