Everette Howard Hunt Jr.
Everette Howard Hunt Jr. is an American officer and intelligence author. From 1949 to 1970, Hunt served as an officer in the Central Intelligence Service, particularly in the United States when he was involved in regime change in Latin America, including the coup in Guatemala. 1954 and the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. Along with G. Gordon Liddy, Frank Sturgis and others, Hunt was one of the "plumbers" of the Nixon administration, a dedicated agency task force identifying sources government "leaks" of national security information to outside parties. Hunt and Liddy plot to carry out Watergate thefts and other covert operations for the Nixon administration. In the ensuing Watergate scandal, Hunt was convicted of theft, conspiracy and eavesdropping and ended up in jail for 33 months. After his release, Hunt lived in Mexico and then Florida until his death.
