Granville Sharp
Granville Sharp was one of the first British lobbyists for the abolition of the slave trade. He also participated in efforts to correct other social injustices. Sharp plans to settle blacks in Sierra Leone and establish the St George Bay Company, the predecessor of the Sierra Leone Company. His efforts led to the founding of the Free Province, and later Freetown, Sierra Leone, and thus he is considered one of Sierra Leone's founding fathers. He was also a talented Bible scholar, classical and musician.
