Joining The Times in 1995 as an editorial board member, she was the editor of the newspaper's editorial page from 2001 to 2007 and was the first woman to assume the position. Collins writes a half-week column for The Times From His Liberal Perspective, published Thursday and Saturday. Since 2014, she has co-authored a blog with conservative journalist Bret Stephens titled "Conversations," on NYTimes.com, which features bipartisan political commentary.
