Alistair Maclean Darling, Baron Darling of Roulanish, was a British Workers' Party politician who served as Prime Minister in the Labor government from 2007 to 2010 and as a Member of Parliament from 1987 until his resignation in 2015, most recently for the South West leadership of 'Edinburgh. He is one of three people to have served in Cabinet without a break from Labor's resounding victory in the 1997 general election to their failure in the 2010 general election; The other two were Gordon Brown and Jack Straw.
