Andres Kasekamp
Andres Ilmar Kasekamp is the Director of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute and Professor of Baltic Policy at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Andres Kasekamp was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Open Estonia Foundation from 2004 to 2008. His main research interests are far-right movements and contemporary Baltic history. He graduated from University of Toronto. In 1996, he obtained his doctorate in history from the Slavonic and Eastern European School of Studies in London, now part of University College London. He visited professors at the University of Toronto and Humboldt University in Berlin. In 2002-2005, he was Editor-in-Chief of the Baltic Research Journal. His book Radical Rights in the midst of the wars in Estonia was the first comprehensive book on Estonian politics in the 1930s. It mainly focuses on the history of the League of War veterans in the War of Independence Estonia. In 2010, he published History of the Baltic States for Palgrave Macmillan.
