Charles Pugh is a former American television, radio, and politician from Detroit, Michigan. For ten years, he was a weekend host at WJBK in Detroit. He has also served as a radio character on CoCo, Foolish and Mr. Chase in the Morning and his own chat show, That's What's Up, was originally broadcast on Sunday night on WJLB. In 2009, Pugh was elected chairman of the Detroit City Council, becoming the city's first publicly elected official LGBT. Pugh was president from 2010 until his resignation in 2013 and moved to New York. In 2016, he was convicted of three counts of sexual misconduct and was sentenced to between 5½ and 15 years in prison. In 2017, he was held at the Bellamy Creek Correctional Center in Ionia, Michigan.
