Rosa Carmina Riverón Jiménez, better known as Rosa Carmina, is a Mexican dancer, singer, rumbera, star, and television and film actress of Cuban descent. Discovered in Cuba by the Spanish filmmaker Juan Orol, she made her Mexican film debut in Orol's film A Woman from the East in 1946. She quickly became famous in Mexico thanks to her talent, her features, her demeanor and his unusual physique. For several years she was part of Juan Orol's team of his best Gangster movies. Among these is the classic Gangsters vs. Cowboys, considered one of the best Mexican films and considered a cult film in several movie clubs around the world.
