Annie Lennox

Ann Lennox is a Scottish singer-songwriter, political activist and philanthropist. After gaining moderate success in the late 1970s with new wave group The Tourist, she and musician Dave Stewart went on to achieve international success in the 1980s as Eurythmics. Appearing in the 1983 music video for "Sweet Dreams" with her orange hair trimmed and wearing a men's suit, the BBC said: "All eyes are on Annie Lennox, the singer with strong androgynous eyes in spite of the man's gaze ". Upcoming Eurythmics hits include "There Must Be an Angel" and "Here Comes the Rain Again". Lennox began his solo career in 1992 with his debut album Diva, which produced several hit singles including "Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass". The same year, she performed "Love Song for a Vampire" for Dracula by Bram Stoker. His 1995 studio album, Medusa, included "No More I Love You" and "A Whiter Shade of Pale".
