David Frank Paich is an American musician, songwriter, singer, and record producer best known as the co-founder, lead musician, keyboardist, and occasional vocalist of the rock band Toto since 1976. Paich has written or co-wrote most of the original documentaries of Toto, including the band's three most popular songs: "Hold the Line", "Rosanna" and "Africa". With Toto, Paich appeared on 17 albums and sold over 40 million records. Additionally, Paich has worked as a professional musician, musician and producer with a wide range of artists including Boz Scaggs and Michael Jackson. One of Paich's most famous concerts is "The Pianist with a Hat". Paich is the son of jazz composer, musician and composer Marty Paich.
