During this time, Richard joined American girl group Danity Kane from 2005 to 2009 and reorganized the group. With 3 out of 5 original members at the end of 2013. In 2009, Richard joined the duo Dirty Money with singer-songwriter Kalenna Harper and label boss Sean "Diddy" Combs to form Diddy - Dirty. Money. With the band, they released the hit album Last Train to Paris, as well as two more mixtapes before their disbandment in 2012. In 2011, after leaving Bad Boy Records, Richard began his career as a solo artist, occurring first as DΔWN, recently DAWN.
