The Lennon Sisters are an American group originally made up of four sisters in a family of seven sisters and five brothers. The original quartet included: Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet. Lennon's 12 children were all born in Los Angeles, California. For thirteen years, from 1955 to 1968, the group performed regularly on the Lawrence Welk Show before having their own variety show with Jimmy Durante. After their concerts were canceled, they teamed up with Andy Williams to create a successful residency in Las Vegas, which lasted for ten years. In 1999, Mimi's sister replaced Peggy when she retired. DeeDee is also retired. The current Lennon Sisters line-up is a trio of Kathy, Janet and Mimi. They continue to tour the country and appear annually with their Christmas program at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson, Missouri. The Lennon Sisters in 2001 were introductory artists for the vocal group's Hall of Fame.
