The Lennon Sisters are an American group originally made up of four sisters in a family of seven sisters and five brothers. The original quartet included: Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet. Lennon's 12 children were all born in Los Angeles, California. For thirteen years, from 1955 to 1968, the group appeared regularly on The Lawrence Welk Show before having their own TV variety show with Jimmy Durante. After their concerts were canceled, they teamed up with Andy Williams to create a decade-long successful Las Vegas residence. In 1999, her sister Mimi replaced Peggy when she retired. DeeDee is also retired. The current line-up of the Lennon Sisters is the trio of Kathy, Janet and Mimi. They continue to tour across the country and appear each year with their Christmas program at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater in Branson, Missouri. The Lennon sisters were inducted into the Singing Group's Hall of Fame in 2001.
