Hong Muy Lim is an Australian politician. He was a member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1996 to 2018, representing Clayton's chair until 2014 and Clarinda thereafter. He represents the Labor Party. Lim was born in Cambodia and is Cambodian of Chinese descent. He trained at schools in Phnom Penh before coming to Australia in 1970, then to the University of Tasmania and Monash University in Melbourne, where he obtained his arts degree. He was Chairman of the Community Council of Victoria of Victoria from 1984 to 1992 and President of the Victorian Association of Cambodia from 1992 to 1996. He was a Fellow of the Victorian Ethnic Council from 1985 to 1992 and a member of the Monash University Council from 1996 to 1998. Lim was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1996 and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to Community Minister Victoria John Thwaites in 2002.
