John Thomas Dunlop is an American administrator, labor economist and educator. Dunlop was US Secretary of Labor from 1975 to 1976 under President Gerald Ford. He served as Director of the American Council of Living Expenses from 1973 to 1974, President of the U.S. Commission on the Future of Worker-Management Relationships from 1993 to 1995, where the Report was produced. Dunlop in 1994. He is also an Arbitrator and Justice. chairman. on various US labor management committees and a member of numerous government councils that resolve industrial relations and economic stability disputes. Dunlop taught at Harvard from 1938 until his retirement as professor at Thomas W. Lamont University in 1984. During this time he was dean of economics from 1961 to 1966. and dean of economics. faculty of arts and sciences from 1969 to 1973. Dunlop was recognized in the United States after the war as the most influential figure in the field of industrial relations.
